Four-color screenprint on heavy-duty paper from French Paper Co. This poster was created for the After Hours art exhibit in Austin, Texas. Posters measure 18” x 24”. These were released as an edition of 40 posters, all signed and numbered. A few remaining copies of those are available here. I am also selling a couple of copies of artist proof editions which are marked as such and signed.

The theme for the show was “design for democracy” and when poised with the task of thinking about democracy and ways it could be improved, it's hard for me not to think of all the environmental threats that face our planet and how the people currently in power completely disregard what's happening right in front of them. Keeping this planet a place that will sustain life should be a top priority and so I chose to create something dystopian as a way to draw attention to these issues. More could be said about the use of an apex predator, the vultures watching from above, the remnants of past technologies, and the way we consume media and how that is monitored, but one thing at a time.
